Ethylene valves
To switch from cracking service to decoking and vise versa, primarily two valves are of importance: the Transfer Line valve (TLV) and the Decoking Valve (DV). During the cracking service the TLV is opened and the DV is closed, while during the decoking procedure, the TLV is closed and the DV opened. In order to prevent damages on equipment, environment or people, ethylene valves need to operate reliably.Â
ADAMS has designed valves for the use in ethylene applications like the tight shut-off, throttle and control valve type HTK and the check valve type MAG. These prove their reliable function since decades. The ADAMS type HTK valve is specially designed to serve as TLV and DV with interlocking.
